Under the title Earth Studies, this group will cover Geology, Climate Change, Global Warming, Fossils, Mining, Ecology and related subjects.

The format will be videos of the relevant subjects, a break for refreshments and a chat and another video if there is time.

There is an opportunity for field trips, for instance to the Cleveland Mining Museum or Saltburn Beach to look a the local geology and how it was exploited by industry.

We hope to have guest speakers and members are encouraged to bring examples of rocks, pebbles and fossils. We welcome suggestions from members as to what subjects and videos they would like to see at the group sessions.

The overall aim is to be informative and fun without being too technical.
