The Saltburn District u3a (SDu3a) monthly 50/50 draw is open to all SDu3a members (including committee and keyworkers) and non-members. All legal requirements are being met, and it is licensed each year with Redcar and Cleveland Council, following their requirements.

The draw will take place at the monthly update meetings (1st Friday of each month). Tickets are available from some group leaders and will be sold only at the update meetings (prior to the draw) and other SDu3a events.

Tickets are £1.00 each and are valid for that month's draw only. Members and non-members can purchase any number of tickets for any draw and can purchase tickets in advance until the end of the financial year. If purchased in advance, tickets are allocated to the member and the numbers are emailed to them before the draw.

Tickets can be purchased directly by email: 5050u3a@gmail.com making payment by bank transfer or cheque – you will be allocated ticket numbers by a return email. 

The total amount of ticket sales per month will be divided 50/50 between cash prize and a SDu3a project fund.

Prizes will be allocated to the first 5 tickets drawn each month, for instance, if 120 tickets are sold £60.00 will be returned in prize money and £60.00 will go to the project fund.

The project fund will be held by the treasurer and be ring fenced to be available for all u3a groups to apply for replacement of old and worn-out equipment or to equip new start up groups or for the general benefit of equipment for SDU3A.

Winning ticket numbers will be emailed to all members following update each month and will be published on the website and in the monthly newsletter.

Winners will be contacted directly by Paul B. to arrange payment of prizes by cheque / BACS or purchase of further tickets, there is also an option to donate the winnings back to a SDu3a group or to general funds. No cash payments will be made.

After the draw only the winning tickets are kept for audit purposes all other tickets are destroyed.
