ABOUT U3A
Saltburn District u3a (SDu3a) became a part of the u3a movement in April 2005 and obtained charitable status in May 2005 (No.1109691). Currently (Sept 2025) the district has 770 members who are drawn from a wide area of East Cleveland, including Saltburn, Marske, New Marske, Loftus, Skelton, Easington, Brotton and Redcar.
u3a is a UK-wide collection of 1000+ charities which provide the opportunity for those no longer in full-time employment to come together and learn for fun.
Saltburn District u3a (SDu3a) has an affiliation agreement with Guisborough u3a. For an annual £5.00 fee you can join Guisborough u3a and enjoy the groups they have to offer. The agreement also applies to Guisborough members who want to join SDu3a groups as an affiliate member.
Saltburn District u3a (SDu3a) is a member of the Northumbria Region of the U3A, there are 47 local u3as in the Northumbria Region which includes Northumberland, County Durham and parts of North Yorkshire and Redcar & Cleveland. As part of our membership our members can network with other u3a's in the Region for colaborative events.
